A Few Professional Recommendations
“William makes you want to work harder and challenges you to step up your game…”
William Schumacher is the very definition of leadership. He is the type of manager you only dream of. I have had several managers over my many years and it was a complete joy to see a great manager at work. William makes you want to work harder and challenges you to step up your game without even doing so directly. He just has a way about him that makes you want to be a better person and employee, that is very hard to find in any one, let alone a manager.

“I’m really glad they’re here and I’d definitely choose him the next time.”
Sometimes you get the chance to work side-by-side with an individual through challenging circumstances, when success seems far off, and you think to yourself, “I’m really glad they’re here and I’d definitely choose him the next time.” Bill Schumacher is that person.

“A talented designer himself, he challenged us to do our best work and understood how to critique and guide us to that end.”
Bill was an excellent communicator and had a true talent for describing creative to non-creative collaborators and stakeholders. A talented designer himself, he challenged us to do our best work and understood how to critique and guide us to that end. As a manager, he was always very approachable and I felt comfortable speaking with him about most anything. I really appreciated Bill’s style under pressure and in intense situations or deadlines as he had a way of keeping difficult situations in perspective.

“He is detailed and thoughtful in his approach to projects, and has a unique ability to translate stakeholder requests into creative vision.”
I have worked with Bill for many years, most recently as a peer who collaborated with him daily to deliver a variety of content projects for Ricoh. Bill has excellent leadership and communication skills, as evidenced by his ability to inspire his team and earn their respect and loyalty. He is detailed, thorough and thoughtful in his approach to projects, and has a unique ability to translate stakeholder requests into creative vision. He built a talented Visual Design team at Ricoh, establishing brand style standards for print and digital assets while managing multiple complex projects and deadlines. He successfully developed new design processes and a digital asset management portal that improved how the entire team executed on design requests. Beyond his pure experience as a designer and leader, Bill is down-to-earth, funny, patient and smart.
